Subway Folks is a graphic design crossover between wearable art and NFTs. I chose to feature intimate illustrated portraits of NYC subway riders in a variety of unaware poses. The portraits capture inner worlds by isolating individuals in a cocoon of negative space — a modern chiaroscuro. We featured the eight collectible images on sweatshirts and tote bags (the public transit uniform) paired with one of a kind NFTs.
